Change the World: Support the Moran Eye Center International Outreach Program

The John A. Moran Eye Center imagines a world where everyone has access to quality eye care regardless of where they live.

Our Global Outreach Division works in more than 25 countries to train doctors, nurses, and other eye care professionals where they are most needed. With your support, we can sustainably expand access to eye care and transform lives in some of the world’s poorest regions. In low-resource countries where the division works, such as Tanzania, the need for trained eye doctors is dire. For every million people, Tanzania has just one ophthalmologist.

Working with international partners, the program aims to develop low-cost, high-volume surgical centers of excellence.

Our efforts to train surgeons abroad have other profound impacts. In just one week, Moran surgeons can restore sight to hundreds of patients who have lost their vision to cataracts or treatable eye diseases. These surgeries improve individual lives and strengthen communities by enabling people to return to work, care for their families, and contribute to society.

Your support is crucial. By donating to Moran’s international outreach initiatives, you invest in a future where everyone can access life-changing eye care. Thank you for helping us train more professionals, expand our reach, and provide essential surgeries to those in need.

Blindness does not have to be inevitable.

With your help, we can bring life-altering treatment and protect sight for those in need.
