Tanner Dance offers scholarships for students of all ages enrolled in the Tanner Dance programs. Tanner Dance serves more than 40,000 children and adults annually through its seven unique programs:
- Virginia Tanner Studio Program
- Children’s Dance Theatre
- Contemporary Companies
- Adaptive Needs Programs for adults with disabilities (LEADD and Elevate Theater Company)
- Arts in Education
- Fine Arts Preschool
- French Immersion Program
Each program offers something unique for its participants. From high-quality productions to individualized attention in class, all Tanner Dance participants have access to arts education and performance opportunities. Donations of any amount are valuable to our mission of making dance accessible to everyone. With your support, more children will have access to the arts, regardless of their ability to pay for classes.

Tanner Dance thanks the Winnie Watson Foundation for their generous support in supporting young dancers through the Winnie Watson Scholarship. Established in honor of Winnie’s joyful spirit and love of movement, the scholarship helps make dance and art more accessible to all children. A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
