Support for the Department of Mechanical Engineering enhances our ability to provide a world-class education and conduct innovative research that instills the professional, technical, critical-thinking, and communication skills necessary for students and faculty to make impactful contributions to society.

Our programs contain several unique features. The undergraduate curriculum emphasizes hands-on experiences, such as team-based projects, in all four years. Laboratories accompany many classes, and all students are able and encouraged to participate in cutting-edge research. As a result, our students are quickly hired into a wide variety of industries, even as student interns before graduation.

The graduate curriculum has an extensive course list in areas of growing demand, such as composite materials, sustainability, experimental methods, wearable robotics, and micro/nanoscale systems.

The John and Marcia Price College of Engineering is a primary source of creative education, research, and technology and is a vital asset for sustaining and growing the Utah economy. No matter the size, your gift will support students, fuel innovative research, retain world-class faculty, and build state-of-the-art facilities.
