Help us provide care for low-income, uninsured Utahns with vision issues. Moran partners with local clinics to provide free or low-cost care as well as sight-restoring surgeries.
We also provide free pediatric and adult care on the Utah strip of the Navajo Nation, an isolated community with an extremely high rate of vision impairment.
Our goal at the John A. Moran Eye Center is to provide the best eye care available while finding better treatments and cures for blinding conditions, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataracts, and cornea and external eye diseases. With more than 40 ophthalmologists, 13 optometrists, and 34 research faculty members, we have specialists in every field of vision care and research.

A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
