Shape the Future of Eye Care: Support the Moran Eye Center’s Ophthalmology Education
Program

The future of ophthalmology is only as promising as its next generation of physicians.
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah has been a
beacon of excellence for over a quarter-century, offering extensive surgical experience and
comprehensive training.

Each year, our dedicated faculty provides ophthalmology education to 50-60 medical students
from the University of Utah and medical schools nationwide. We also welcome four interns, 12
residents, up to 14 fellows, and many international observers. Our resident education program
has been ranked No. 6 nationwide and No. 1 in the west by Doximity.com.

By donating to the Moran Eye Center’s ophthalmology education program, you are investing in
the future of eye care. Your contribution will help us purchase surgical training equipment and
educational materials and support top-tier training, ensuring the next generation of
ophthalmologists is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the most pressing
eye health issues.

Our program is not just about education; it’s about transforming lives. The hands-on experience
and mentorship provided through our program prepare our trainees to deliver exceptional care
to patients worldwide. This ripple effect means that your donation will impact countless lives as
our graduates go on to serve communities near and far.
