The Veterans Support Center (VSC) helps veterans and military-connected students navigate their academic journey at the University of Utah. Located in the Union Building, the VSC provides a welcoming space and essential services to support student success—academically, emotionally, and professionally.
We proudly serve all military-connected students, including active duty, reserves, National Guard, ROTC, and family members. Services include free printing, computer lab, textbook loans, work-study opportunities, VA benefits advising, career coaching, and more.
Despite our progress, many student veterans at the University of Utah still face financial gaps. Only half qualify for full GI Bill benefits, and even those who do often fall short by $1,000–$2,000 in covering tuition. These shortfalls can delay graduation or force students to pause their education.

A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
