At Burn Camp, every campfire, river trip, and retreat is more than an activity: it’s a chance for survivors to connect, heal, and rediscover joy. Thanks to the generosity of donors, every Burn Camp program in 2024 was offered at no cost to survivors and their families. Together, we created unforgettable memories and life-changing moments.
Generous donors made Burn Camp possible by covering the following expenses:
- Camp facilities and activity costs
- Essential gear, including hats, water bottles, sunscreen, camping equipment, and ski gear
- Snacks and supplies to keep campers fueled and comfortable
- Travel assistance for families who otherwise could not attend
Burn Camp does not receive direct funding from the University of Utah, so all programs are sustained through the generosity of people like you.

Full-circle Healing
This year, we celebrated the graduation of a camper who started Preschool Camp after being injured at age two. At that time, this child was carried to safety by a firefighter. Seven years later, that same firefighter reconnected with the survivor at Camp Nah Nah Mah, witnessing the camper’s incredible growth and resilience.
Stories like these show the profound, long-term impact Burn Camp has on survivors, families, and first responders.
Future Goals
Because of our community of supporters, Burn Camp continues to grow. Next year, we plan to enroll 15 additional campers to Camp Nah Nah Man and host year-round community events like climbing and archery clinics.
With donor support, we can fulfill our long-term dreams of building a gaga pit, rock wall, archery area, as well as procuring a 15-passenger van to take campers fishing at a nearby lake.
