The University of Utah Health Burn Center is one of the leading burn treatment centers in the nation, serving patients from across Utah, the Mountain West, and beyond. Our expert team provides lifesaving care for individuals recovering from serious burn injuries, whether caused by fire, scalds, electrical accidents, or chemical exposure.
But recovery doesn’t stop when a patient is discharged from the hospital. Burn survivors, especially children and teens, face unique emotional and physical challenges long after their wounds have healed. That’s why we offer long-term support programs like the Burn Camp program, which helps survivors reconnect with joy, confidence, and community.

Donations support Burn Camp for Children and other burn camp experiences designed for teens, young adults, and adults recovering from burn injuries. These camps provide a safe, supportive space to build resilience, form friendships, and rediscover self-esteem, all while having fun in the outdoors.

A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
