Jensie L. Anderson Endowed Scholarship in the College of Law

For Jensie Anderson (JD ’93), her 25-year tenure at the S.J. Quinney College of Law was marked by an unwavering dedication to justice and education. As a clinical professor, she made a profound impact on countless students by teaching courses in legal methods, innocence investigation, and criminal process. Beyond the classroom, Professor Anderson co-founded the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center (RMIC) and served as its pro bono legal director, leading efforts that resulted in the exoneration and compensation of wrongfully convicted individuals. Her advocacy extended to legislative reforms across Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming, including the drafting and passage of laws to prevent wrongful convictions and protect juvenile rights during interrogations.

In honor of Professor Anderson’s 25 years of service and numerous contributions to the community, this endowed scholarship will continue her legacy of justice and education by supporting future law students.
