The Utah Student Pharmacist Alliance (USPA) serves as the umbrella organization for all pharmacy student national organizations at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. USPA fosters professional development, enhances learning in pharmaceutical sciences, and promotes career awareness and opportunity for future pharmacists.
Student organizations play a vital role in pharmacy education. Through USPA, students develop essential leadership skills, give back to the community through outreach events, and build professional networks that will serve them throughout their careers. These experiences complement classroom learning, shaping well-rounded pharmacists who are prepared to serve our communities.
The objectives of USPA are to:
- Promote the profession of pharmacy and pharmacists’ role in healthcare
- Provide career information across all pharmacy sectors—from community and hospital pharmacy to research, industry, and academia
- Encourage lifelong involvement in professional pharmacy organizations
- Sponsor educational and service programs that strengthen clinical knowledge and leadership abilities
- Educate the public about health care issues and the pharmacist’s role in managing them
- Promote pharmaceutical research and the advancement of pharmacy knowledge

A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
