COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS
The College of Fine Arts is home to five academic units including the departments of Art & Art History, Film & Media Arts, and Theatre, along with the schools of Dance and Music. We envision a world where we harness the power of the arts to inspire us all to find our voices, fuel our passions, and ignite our futures. Our charge is to generate and share new knowledge through inclusive and sustainable inquiry in and through the arts.
It is also our charge to provide inspired and modern spaces that will not just help our students hone their crafts but will prepare them to become leaders in the modern workforce. The learning, making, exhibiting, and screening spaces we’ve imagined will do just that by providing greater access and greater opportunity, and paving the way for greater success.
The College of Fine Arts has identified the following funding priorities for the Imagine New Heights campaign:
- Promote Student Success, Access, Retention, and Completion: Expand and diversify the availability of student scholarships to provide opportunity for more students to attend, to thrive, and to graduate with a degree in the arts.
- Community Outreach Programs: Enhance the arts education outreach programs serving the surrounding communities, empowering them to provide more resources and connection to additional underserved populations.
- Arts in Health: Expand resources for interdisciplinary exploration at the intersection of arts and health in order to aid providers and individuals with developing creative and innovative solutions.
