The Global Change and Sustainability Center is an interdisciplinary hub catalyzing research on global change and sustainability. We engage an interdisciplinary research community that generates and disseminates the knowledge required to address the urgent need for adaptation, mitigation, and resilience in response to current global change. We seed and incentivize innovative research, and incubate leaders through training the next generation of problem-solvers. We facilitate new approaches to responsible management and viability of natural, social, and economic systems, working toward a future where humans and ecosystems thrive.

The Global ChangeĀ and Sustainability CenterĀ has identified the following funding priorities for the Imagine New Heights campaign:

  • Attract and train top graduate students who will address the problems of global change
  • Improve air and water quality on the Wasatch Front through research to inform practice and policy
  • Catalyze innovative environmental and sustainability research by students and faculty
  • Revitalize Red Butte Creek on the U campus
