UtahPresents, a multidisciplinary presenter at the University of Utah, brings diverse artistic and cultural experiences to campus and the region, exploring and enriching the human experience through the lens of creativity and the arts. As stewards of the iconic Kingsbury Hall, we provide a valuable gathering space for community events and campus partners. Our annual season includes classical and contemporary music, eclectic dance and theater, global arts, film and multimedia projects, and family-friendly performances. Off the stage, we embed visiting artists with local partners and community groups, as well as across campus to serve students, faculty, and staff in their learning environments and outcomes. Our unique combination of performance and engagement deepens understanding of relevant issues for the communities we serve, exploring a broad range of topics from LGBTQ stories and civil rights to environmental sustainability and female empowerment.

UtahPresents has identified the following funding priorities for the Imagine New Heights campaign:

  • Develop new commissioned works opportunities for artists and creative scholars to support the generation and transfer of new knowledge.
  • Break down barriers to the arts and higher education with underserved audiences by making connections with community partners.
  • Provide exposure to global arts as local demographics shift, especially to reflect diversity in the university’s student population.
  • Program artists whose work focuses on global solutions to sustainability issues.
