Barbara J. Roberts was so proud of the Legacy she knew she could leave at the David Eccles School of Business. As a strong advocate for lifelong education, she was always looking for ways to educate and enrich the lives of those around her. With a bequest in her will, her gift of education will keep on giving for generations to come!

Barbara was born in the small town of Burley, Idaho at a time when most women weren’t encouraged to attend college. Her parents owned a diner and she learned all about hard work early in life. But one thing held true for Barbara and that was the value of education. It was a long road for her to get her college degree, but she worked hard and persevered.

While not an alum of the Eccles School, she gained quite an affinity for training the next generation of business leaders, especially those who were lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend college later in life. We will celebrate her legacy at our annual Scholarship Luncheon every year!
