Abraham Lincoln is universally recognized as America’s greatest president. Yet, we often do not consider who the man was who gazes at us from Mt. Rushmore and the Lincoln Memorial. What were the qualities that made him a great chief executive and commander-in-chief? In other words, what was it that made Abraham Lincoln Abraham Lincoln? This lecture will try to answer that question, and explore what we re the components that came together to produce this unique man.
