Decoding Breast Cancer Risk and Development

Lecture by Dr. Andrea Bild, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy

Recorded: March 14, 2012

Better approaches are needed to identify the causes of breast cancer. We use different types of genetic data to discover new genes involved in an individual’s breast cancer risk. By increasing our understanding of the genetic profiles underlying breast cancer development, we can tailor risk assessment to the individual patient and develop the best strategies to prevent and treat breast cancer.
