Energy-Efficient and Cost-Effective: The 125 Haus in Park City

Lecture by Jörg Rügemer, Assistant Professor, College of Architecture + Planning

Recorded: May 9, 2012

125 Haus is a modern, moderate-sized 2,400 sq. ft. three-bedroom plus studio residence in Park City, Utah. Designed by Atelier Jörg Rügemer, it is an interdisciplinary research and design project for a highly energy-efficient, sustainable residential case study priced at market rate. To prove the building’s post-occupancy effectiveness and energy saving potential, its construction, energy consumption, cost efficiency, and return on investment will be documented, evaluated, and analyzed throughout a 1-year post-occupancy monitoring and research period.
