Among Us Tournament Night

Mentoring: Pay it Forward

Utah Jazz president Jim Olson BA’92 will share his perspective on mentorship, including the role a mentor played early in his pursuit of a career in sports management. Join several food/sustainability-centered campus organizations for virtual Cooking Hour events! Cook along with us over Zoom as we walk you through step-by-step how to cook healthy and affordable meals! U Giving Day Trivia Night

Grab 3-4 friends from your student club or organization and join us for a U Giving Day trivia night! Answer questions about University of Utah history, notable alumni, philanthropy, and campus services. The winning team will get Giving Day swag and $200 dollars to give to the University of Utah school, program, or area of their choice. If your club is affiliated with a college and can receive funding from ASUU, you may also be able to win money for your club! Registration for Trivia Night.

Founders Day 2021

To celebrate the founding of the University of Utah in 1850, we annually recognize alumni and honorary alumni who have served their community, excelled professionally, and supported the university in its mission. These annual distinguished and honorary alumni awards, along with honorary degrees, are the highest honors awarded by the University of Utah. This year’s virtual celebration is open to all alumni and members of our U community. Learn more and register for Founder’s Day.

Friday Forum: Racial Equity & Philanthropy

Friday, February 26th, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (MT)

President Watkins will lead a panel of leaders from the Kresge Foundation’s Education Program, TIAA, the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund who will discuss their response to the lens shone on racial justice issues in 2020, share their thoughts on private foundation philanthropy’s responsibility and role in anti-racism efforts, and brainstorm new directions for the work still to be done.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is taking a stand against racism and bringing the University of Utah to the forefront of the conversation through the launch of the Friday Forum series on Racism in Higher Education. Each month we will lead national conversations with the goal of helping attendees start on a journey to eradicate racism and share best practices for sustained growth and action.
